WHAT’S A SUB-48?

It’s a spontaneous bikepacking adventure that is under 48 hours in duration. Originally these rides were called “S24O” which means Sub (under) 24 hour Overnight camping trip. Some like their trips a bit longer so now we have SUB-48’s. In most cases you don’t have to spend a ton of time planning and packing. You simply pack essentials, throw your leg over the cross bar and head in a direction that gets you away from your daily grind.  Unlike our busy lives, this experience is all about enjoying the journey and not rushing to get to point B. Whether it’s a solo ride or you experience the trip with friends, you are prepared but also in no hurry as you explore new roads, towns and even let yourself get lost. Most of these trips don’t have a destination in mind, it just happens and you find a place to camp.
